Foie gras
Foie gras (the liver of a duck or a goose that has been specially fattened) involves the controversial force-feeding of birds with more food than they would eat in the wild.
This can be incredibly stressful for the animals, who show signs of fear and they can often damage their throats due to the heavy handed use of the apparatus.
Foie gras is prohibited in a number of countries, but still it is available to buy.
