Mori is a student of School of Visual Arts in New York. She has been photographing pets and their owners for over 2 years, which she named “Petography”. Recently, she has developed a unique style of photography that involves using animal paper cutouts to combine both fashion and animals. By combining photography with her paper-cutting skills, she came up with the idea of turning fashion photography into animal/fashion photography. Mori’s background in spacial design is evident in her work. She prefers to make props and clothing by herself, and decorate the studio based on her sketches. Further, her unique gaze as a photographer, when creates the scene that she imagines, allows the surrealistic photography that is not digitally manipulated.
